Valentine's Day falls squarely in the Gstaad ski high-season, and the village's best chefs take it seriously. The Gstaad Palace Valentine's Dinner is the classic: aperitif from around 7:30 pm with a gala seating from 8:00 pm across all hotel restaurants. Chesery and LEONARD's both publish a special 14 February tasting menu. Restaurant Sonnenhof in Saanen is the most atmospheric mid-budget option (16 Gault Millau points in a chalet dining room). For something quieter and more intimate, Le Cerf in Rougemont is the local choice.
